a simple cheeseburger

Our burger is simple. A salted beef patty, crispy edges, extra sauce, melty cheddar, and a toasted bun. Sometimes we mix up the toppings, but at its core, it’s a simple cheeseburger.

We’re Zac and michaela

For the past 5 years, we’ve watched serving burgers to friends on our deck turn into a burger business we love.

We live 100km away from the nearest fast food. And sometimes you crave a Big Mac so badly you have to get creative. Hence, recipe testing burgers for friends on our back deck. Eventually, that turned into a real business where we get to share our burgers with the town we’ve grown to love.

New Year’s 2021 was our first official pop-up at Heartwood Kitchen here in Ukee. Since then, we’ve done dozens of markets, pop-ups, and private events in Ucluelet, Tofino, and Port Alberni. Each year, we expand, try new things, and aim to get more people out in the sun enjoying a cheeseburger.

We started in our backyard, now we come to yours. If you see us popping up around town, come say hi!
